This study is about the effectiveness electronic cards on quality services of commercial banks, a case study of Banque Populaire du Rwanda Headquarters branch. Commercial banks have been operating under the traditional system. Recently, they have introduced the use of electronic and computerized system. Given the challenges encountered by Customers of various banks especially these waiting on the queue for services, fund insecurity, inflexible and inconvenient services which characterized manual banking systems where Banque Populaire du Rwanda left for some years ago, the main objective of this study is to analyze the impact or effectiveness of electronic cards on the quality services of most of commercial banks, especially Banque Populaire du Rwanda. To lay a background for the study relevant literatures were used. The study was carried out in Banque Populaire du Rwanda Headquarters’ Branch, and the later was in line with the statement of the problem and research objectives of the study. The study used the secondary data and adopted qualitative and quantitative methods for data collection using personal interview and documentation techniques.
