The impacts of climate change and the requirements for adaptation are highly contextual. The impacts of climate change will vary from country to country (David Souter et al., 2010). Indeed, African countries are especially vulnerable to the impacts of climate change for three interrelated reasons: (1) Africa’s climate is likely to be more severely affected by climate change than other regions, as recent data suggest that it is warming faster than the global average. (2) Its major economic sectors, such as agriculture, are climate-sensitive. (3) Low levels of human development (income, education, health). The 2008 Human Development Report identifies one of the five major “transmission mechanisms” through which climate change will affect human development is the losses in agricultural production and food security: Africa could experience the largest losses in agricultural output potential. Moreover, Agriculture deals with a complex technical system because the growing condition are different from each location and there is a gap between the result of an experiment from the research institutions and the actual circumstances in the field.
